Why do people send Christmas cards?

There are a number of reasons, it might be the only time of the year that you sit down and write a message to someone
It might be a way for you as a business person to say 'Thank you and best wishes at this time'

You might be a person that does not agree with them and think they are a waste of money.

What do we at Cards Complete Think?
Of course we are going to say we think it is a good idea to send Christmas Cards, it is our business but we would not be doing this if we did not think it was a nice idea. Someone said to me once, owning your own business is hard so you must have a passion for it to get you through the tough times. Well they were right, I love what I do and I love that what I do makes people feel better, that I send your sentiments, your wishes to your friends, loved ones and family.

(1) as a business do you get cards printed with your signatures included?  how much difference do you think it would make if you actually thought about the person you were sending a card to and sent a personal hand written message.  You don't have the time you say, well why don't you try it, send a card with a personal message handwritten and see if anything comes back form it. If I am wrong and the receiver does not appreciate it then tell me. If I am right and the receiver was happy to receive something that some thought and effort went into then let me know that too

(2)what about sending your employees a hand written card and say something nice in it. How much do you think this would mean to that person.  Hi Mary, Thanks for your work and dedication during the year, lets all keep working hard together and hopefully we will be successful together.  What do you think this would do?

(3)I love to see the handwritten card coming at Christmas. Sometimes there is a photo inside or just a bit of news from someone that maybe I have not spoken to all year but I still have fond memories off. Maybe someone I went to school with but now lives somewhere else and the only time we get a little sneak peak of how they are doing in life is with their Christmas card.

So although Cards Complete would love if you sent your Christmas Cards through us or bought our lovely Christmas Cards and wrote them yourself, the best thing for us is that You SEND THAT CHRISTMAS CARD, you put some thought into it and you let people know you mean something to them.
and after all that Why don't you tell us what you feel about Christmas cards.  We would really love to know

Good Luck Greeting Cards

It is that time of year again when the weather gets nice and the 3rd and 6th year students are buried in the books and you are thinking about who is doing exams and who must I send a good luck card to. I was listening to the kids as they were discussing how much study they were doing and the panic rising in their voices about how much they had not covered yet and one of the girls pipes up and says 'I don't know what you are all worried about, I don't have to study at all, isn't my granny lighting candles for me everyday' It broke the ice and they all laughed. But isn't is so true, there is the study but there is also 'the lighting of the candles, the good luck charm, the prayers and the novenas and of course the 'Good Luck Greeting Cards'

Exam Good luck Cards

So if you know of someone who is doing the exams don't forget to send them an exam good luck card, just something to let them know you are thinking about them. Log on to www.cardscomplete.ie and send your good luck cards now. The exams start next Wednesday. Click here and it will bring you straight to Good Luck Cards.

Father's Day

Father's day will be celebrated this year on Sunday 17th June. It is a celebration of Father's everywhere. It is a chance for us to say, 'Thank you' and 'I love you' Traditionally Father's day is not celebrated in Ireland as much as Mother's day and it should be. It is one day in the year where we can show our appreciation of Father's. We know Father's may not have as much mass on cards or gifts given to them on Father's day but I bet there is not a father anywhere that would not like to spend some special time with his kids on this day and be made feel special. So if you are lucky enough to still have your father in your life, celebrate Father's day with him.

History of Father's Day

Credit for what we now recognise as the official Father's Day goes to Sonora Smart Dodd, who invented her own celebration of Father's Day in 1910. Its first celebration was in Spokane, Washington on June 19, 1910. Her father, a war veteran was a single parent who reared his six children. Although, she initially suggested June 5, her father's birthday, she did not provide the organisers with enough time to make arrangements, and the celebration was deferred to the third Sunday of June.

Extended Father's Day

The father of my children is under the illusion that Father's day is actually a week long. Once the start of the week comes he maintains we should be nice to him all week. The fact as he says, he is 'the only underpants on the line', in other words, the only male in the house, he deserves a lot of taking care of on Father's day by his children and so his three weekly jobs are done by the girls, they have to cut the grass, put out the bins and feed the dog. Look up our selection of Father's Day Cards. Video

You can put in up to ten reminders and we will email you 2 weeks before the reminder date so you have plenty of time to pick a card and have it sent to the special someone.
